I Bought Me A New Toy

So I finally made it to Silver Snail. Originally, I had planned to go down in the afternoon, but decided I'd watch a movie with Mia first. We watched "Sideways" and it was surprisingly funny and entertaining. I strongly suggest that you all see it. However, if you are engaged, do not watch this movie with your fiance at your side. You have been warned! Actually, go ahead and take your significant other, then drop me a comment and tell us all about it.

Sideways - A Fox Searchlight Pictures Film

Silver Snail closes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Our movie started at 3:40 p.m. and was unexpectadly long. The movie finally ended at exactly 5:55 p.m. and we ran over the popular comics store. There was still a good number of people inside and the front entrance was still unlocked. I browsed around for a while trying to decide if there was anything else I might have wanted. They had a couple new Superman resin statues but nothing that really cought my eye. The Optimus Prime statues looked amazing, but they were much larger than what I was looking for, and far too expensive. Roughly one month after having received my gift certificate, I was finally able to get what I had wanted. To the left is a picture I took of the detailed statue.

** To those who took the time to post comments, I apologize but there were some unexpected complications with the post.

In response to some of the comments, I completely agree with you Tom. It's definitely a shame that Paul Giamatti wasn't nominated for his performance in "Sideways". Of all the nominees for best lead actor, I've only yet seen Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in "The Aviator". Although his role in movie seemed to be a bit more demanding, I feel Paul Giamatti's performance in "Sideways" is much more deserving of a nomination.

And to Fwannie, if you happen to watch the movie, you'll see exaclty what I mean. I'm sure not all engaged men think the same way though. Still, I would imagine that the movie might make a few women think twice before agreeing with the idea of their fiance's having one last week of freedom.
