Let There Be Heat!

Last night my parents managed to get a hold of a friend of a friend who's been working with home climate control systems for over ten years. His name is Carlton. Carlton was immediately and genuinely concerned for us, considering the extremely cold temperature. He said he'd be here as soon as he could manage. While we were waiting for him, the fuses in our home started to blow, one by one, due to the amount of heaters we had on. First, me and my brother's room went out, then my parents room and the washroom, then the kitchen. We had no stove, no heaters, and no extra fuses. Caltron arrived at our house at about 11:00 p.m. After my father explained the situation we were now in, Carlton promised he wouldn't leave until he had our heater back up and running. After about two hours and a few trips back to his home for extra supplies, heroically, Carlton had managed to bring our heating system back to life. We couldn't thank him enough. He was tired and had quite a long way to drive home. He asked only for $200 and a glass of water, under the circumstances, a more than reasonable request. We all slept like newborn babies.

I woke up this morning in a sweat. It's hot like fire in here. I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, and turned on my computer. I tried to log into MSN Messenger and check my Hotmail account. They don't seem to be working very well. The following are screenshots of what I saw.

Not sure what I'll do the rest of the day. I was thinking I might go to GAP and return a sweater I've been meaning to return for some time now. I was also thinking about making a trip down to Silver Snail on Queen Street and using up the gift certificate that Mia was kinda enough to give me for Christmas. I think I've decided that I'll get a few Final Fantasy VII resin statues. After so many years, that game still manages to be the most interesting and entertaining game I've ever played. I can't wait to get the statues.

If I don't leave now, I may never leave the house today.
